In the shadow of the spire of Holy Trinity Church, this Georgian terraced house in the old town of Stratford on Avon, has been skilfully and creatively adapted. Extended to a high standard with design flair and attention to detail it is nearing completion in West Street. The clients have now moved in, ahead of the latest lock down to furnish this new home.
MRT's team of Architects, Construction Technologists and Interior Designers have helped to fulfil the aspirations of the owners to balance the historic old fabric with new contemporary design work.
Outside, there are grey painted brick walls, zinc cladding, aluminium bifold doors and windows. Inside there are exposed brick walls with a floating staircase and amazing single storey extension with mirrored roof lights, which reflects the light. A curved wall of polished plaster and an avant-garde kitchen with stylish furniture to create a 'wow' factor when entertaining. Upstairs there are en-suite bedrooms and an attic conversion, with a free standing bath offering a great view over the rooftops, of the Conservation area. There are new floor finishes, doors, ironmongery and excellent lighting with other interesting architectural features including exquisite bathrooms and tiling.
MRT Architects, worked closely with the owners and Steve Pitts, with his team of skilled tradesmen at SMP Builders. They managed the construction, coordinated of the suppliers and subcontractors.
