This development has created six single storey units as an “extension” of Margaret Court, an apartment scheme comprising of 44 Extracare Housing Apartments. The six new dwellings are positioned on either side of an internal path between the bungalows. This path is a continuation of an “access corridor”, which provides easy access to the communal facilities of the apartment scheme (completed in September 2009). It was important to integrate and relate this new addition to the overall project and provide social interaction between the dwellings along an attractive pedestrian circulation route, situated away from the busy main road that runs adjacent to the site.
