Historic building renovation

This once unloved, dilapidated building was part of a renovation and was extended for a law firm’s U.K. headquarters some years ago. The new part of this grade II listed building created a new entrance focal point, acting as an infill in a row of Georgian houses. The contemporary addition features clay tile hanging in surrounding steel window door fenestration.

In recent years this beautiful building has enjoyed a new lease of life with a conversion from offices to residential, as it was once before.  A full journey of regeneration and repair contributing to Stratford upon Avon’s rich, historic past and a positive step forward.

Revisit of Replacement Dwelling in Luddington

It seems only yesterday that we were the architects for this replacement dwelling in Luddington, yet it is probably over ten years ago!

The design seeks to emulate a traditional house form with a front facing double gable and single one at the rear on the centreline of the raised swimming pool terrace. A contemporary edge is created with crisp white render with blue brick flourishes under a slate roof with deep grey aluminium windows and doors. Inside there is an atrium inspired gallery landing overlooking the hallways and downstairs there are spacious open plan living rooms which catch the solar path.

This is a timeless design which will feel classic and fresh for many years to come.

Site progress news!

Site progress is moving forward at this delightful detached three-bedroom property located in the beautiful village of Beckford. We have obtained planning permission to convert the property into a four-bedroom house with a loft conversion and rear extension. Along with these changes planning permission has also been granted for a garden room surrounded by a new patio, which will blend into the newly landscaped garden.

The proposals utilise a soft palate of materials including render, clay tiles and timber, to provide a stylish, modern design, breathing life into the tired existing house.

The property is currently being worked on so you will see from the images how the house is starting to take shape, through major alterations.
