Listed building consent granted unconditional approval!

This Listed building application was for the conversion of a grade II listed stable building to a home gym within the curtailage of Nether Lypiatt Manor. Although structurally sound the building fabric itself had been somewhat neglected and so it was proposed to repair the stonework, lintels and windows with the aim to enhance and preserve the existing building. A design for the conversion was proposed which was sympathetic to the existing fabric of the building and preserved all of the existing internal details such as cobbled concrete floor and Victorian stable partitions. The proposal included a ‘dry’ system which meant that in the future it could be removed without damaging the existing fabric of the building. All necessary details were considered, which lead to an unconditional approval and positive testimonial from the senior conservation officer at Stroud District Council.

‘It was an incredibly well put together application, so there are no conditions attached.’ Senior Conservation Officer at Stroud District Council.

New apartments completed in the heart of Stratford upon Avon

Central Chambers; in the heart of Stratford upon Avon, Warwickshire now boasts 8 New flats which have recently been completed and finished to a high spec. The scheme consisted of the conversion of the first and second floors of the existing building from office use to provide eight residential units. This interesting development went through both Planning and Listed Building Consent due to two of the flats being located in an older part of the building dating back to 1760, whilst the rest of the frontage was built in the 1920s to match.
