A perfect afternoon and an opportunity to pop in and visit this beautiful cottage after its extension and alterations some years later. The project sought to extend the accommodation on the ground floor and carve out a bedroom and shower room with stairway within the attic space. Walls were removed to create larger rooms and a flow which focus on the lovely garden views and onto the village and church steeple. The interiors are light and colourful and provide a timeless feel.

Transformation Thursday – Hampton Lucy
We love a good transformation photo! This property which is nearing completion in Hampton Lucy previously lacked character and street presence. The entrance was originally via the side elevation which offered an awkward internal arrangement. By opening up the front elevation the owners can now enjoy a grand entrance hall with a beautiful gabled window at first floor offering stunning views over Hampton Lucy. Careful discussions were made with the planners in regards to the cladding material, the client wanted a sustainable environmentally friendly material which required less maintence than traditional timber cladding yet offered the same beautiful asthetics, we are very pleased with the finish of this Dura Composite Cladding. Construction works undertaken by Steelhead Developments. Swipe to see the Elevation before this exciting redesign.
Project nearing completion in the Cotswolds
The sun was shining on our site visit earlier this week to this beautiful new dwelling which is nearing completion in the Cotswolds. We are very excited for our clients to move into their new home which has been built to a very high standard by Houghton Construction Ltd.
We absolutely love how this project has turned out from the Cotswold stone wall in the entrance hall to the attention to detail on the curved stone steps which lead down into the sitting room. Keep an eye out in the next few weeks for the final reveal on this beautiful new property in the Cotswolds.
Single storey extension achieves a grand space full of overhead natural light
Adding a single storey extension to an existing house and knocking the walls through can achieve a grand space full of overhead natural light. In this MRT project we also connected two terraced houses into one and installed an amazing bespoke staircase up through the centre of the house with a glazed lantern at the top flooding interior with sunlight. The site is set in a conservation area so all needed consent which was granted, though there were some tricky times with the build which is another story!
