MRT Architects assisted 1st Henley and Wootton Scout group in obtaining a new Scout building from design, planning, through building regulations and completion.
Annabel our Architectural Designer is a Cub Scout leader herself and so was ideally positioned to assist 1st Henley and Wootton Scout group, having already a good knowledge of the needs and activities at weekly meetings across Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
It was imperative that MRT worked closely with Stratford on Avon Building control to ensure that the building was in accordance with building regulations in particular separation distances, and fire safety.
1st Henley and Wootton Beaver group hosted their first overnight stay in their new Scout Hut back in October and MRT are delighted to see the building being enjoyed by the Beaver, Cub and Scout sections. An open day for the local community and surrounding Scout groups is being planned in April 2023.
