Planning permission granted for a new dwelling in the curtilage of a grade 2 listed  building  in historic chipping campden. MRT Architects were commissioned to work on the project after previous attempts by others were refused. Our approach was to accept that in this location a carefully designed vernacular building in the cotswold style would be more likely to be supported. It took a couple of redesigns, a further refusal and a new application but despite local opposition planning officers eventual reccommendation was approval and the committee voted to grant. This is a successful planning conclusion of a major redevelopment in the high street of this lovely town.
